For the last 24 years, as Television evolved from Broadcast to cable to streaming, I've served as Vice President Creative Director Special Projects for CBS Marketing where I had the opportunity to, not only write and produce thousands of spots, work on the launch of a streaming service, co-found and run a department with the mandate to "think differently," but also to be a part of a small team that led CBS from a third place broadcaster to America's Most Watched Network 18 times in the last 17 years and for the last 12 years straight.
Prior to that, I worked on Madison Avenue during the era of the Cola Wars, the phone wars and Airline deregulation at some of New York's most fabled Advertising Agencies including NW Ayer, Saatchi and Saatchi and Grey Worldwide and on accounts like DeBeers Diamonds, AT&T, 7-Up, Club Med, The Bahamas, Proctor and Gamble, Gillette, Kraft, CitiCorp, General Motors, General Mills, Burger King, Continental Airlines and Pan Am.
But the truth is, where I worked and when I worked there is not the part that made me so lucky.
The part that made me lucky was that I got to learn from the best and brightest in the business about creating content, connecting with audiences, creating authentic brands and the importance of being honest.
